Large offshore logistics provider seeking a Ships Agent due to expansion of its Marine department in Aberdeen to take care of day-to-day vessel requirements and to promote this service to its existing clients.
The successful candidate must have a sound knowledge of agency work and be able to increase their market share through the provision of additional services targeting new & existing clients.
Reporting direct to the head of the Marine Department, you will be expected to work under your own initiative yet to assist in the general running of a busy operation where possible.
The successful applicant will be experienced in the following:
- Pre arrival arrangements with the relevant port authority
- Arranging vessel clearance and submitting applicable documentation
- Assisting in crew change as required
- Arranging On/Off Hire Surveys
- Assisting in the documentation of items for import / export
