Position based in Sharjah
Duties.
Maintain an effective and efficient flow of export and import controls related to international shipments.
Insure compliance and adherence to Export Regulations, and other local government agencies.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with requirements of Royalties.
Perform system classification of new materials/maintain system database.
Respond to customer (internal & external) regulatory requests or inquiries.
Participate in compliance audits/assessments, review corrective actions, and evaluate site compliance including forwarder's and broker's compliance.
Provide support in Import Operations including Customs Brokers, timely Customs clearance, freight forwarders.
Work with other departments to define regulatory practices and provide guidance to compliance issues.
Experience
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in areas of Foreign Trade Zone, Int’l Transportation, or Logistics including emphasis on import and export compliance.
Comprehensive knowledge of the import/export documentation and recordkeeping.
Possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately in an evolving environment.
Good communication analytical and interpersonal presentation.
Demonstrated verbal, and written, communication skills, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational, multitasking, problem solving, and time management skills.
Excellent attention to details and proficient recordkeeping and database maintenance skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field such as engineering or business studies or equivalent work experience.
