An exciting senior opportunity has arisen within a well established freight forwarder with global presence for a Far East expert to join the management team.

The position holder will be responsible for managing the operational and commercial development of the Far East trade lane, focusing on ensuring that competitive FCL and LCL services are offered for Westbound and Eastbound traffic.

The position holder will assume full responsibility for carrier selection and negotiation and will set a pricing policy to be rolled-out across all European offices. There will be a requirement for international travel, regular visiting overseas offices and working with local management and sales teams to ensure that maximum revenue is being generated. The position holder will play an important role in assisting to win new business and in the management/ development of existing accounts, however will not be expected to "cold-call" and will not work to personal sales targets. Additional responsibility will be assumed for the Middle East trade lanes.

- Experienced freight forwarder with excellent knowledge of the Far East trade lane
- Established relationship with shipping lines and experience negotiating preferred terms
- Experience implementing pricing strategy
- Commercially and financially astute
- Strong operational knowledge
